A Silver Mughal Imperial sword, stamped with the owners name.
Elegant simple and robust in its construction. A well made sword. The hilt is of a typical ‘delhi style’ hilt with silver work in the form of flowers and tendrils. The silver work is 95% in tact. The blade is crafted of forge folded steel with contrasted patterns visible to the eye. The blade is long and slender, with an edge and thick spine. The blade is thick and has a yelmen like finish towards the end. The blade is of very good quality construction and proves to be a fighting blade. The blade is stamped and reads ‘Man Khan Sahib’. ‘Sahib’ is a term used for respect within Indian culture. ‘Man Khan’ being the name of either the owner of the maker of the sword.
Overall a very nice sword with a complete hilt and stamped with the owners/makers name. Complete with a new scabbard.
