A set of two 19th century Indian tribal axes from Chota Nagpur. The large Indian Bullov Axe is single edged, with a double crescent head joining the original shaft. The Wooden shaft has a sharp top steel spike, which would be used for attacking. The wooden shaft has grass binding for grip and a steel base. The total length of this axe is 2.8ft. The second axe is much slender and lightweight. The total length is 3ft, allowing this to be used from a further range when attacking. The blade measures 23cm and is attached to the original wooden shaft. Both Bullov axes are in very good condition.
