An 19th century Tulwar with a Delhi style hilt and wootz blade.
THIS EXAMPLE
A very nice example of a fighting tulwar from Delhi or North India. The hilt is of a typical style, with a silver wash covering the hilt, approximately 85% in tact. The hilt is large and is of nice proportions, making it comfortable to hold. The blade is wootz steel, with prominent patterns and swirls covering the entirety of the blade. Very appealing to the eye.
Accompanied by a new leather scabbard.
CONCLUSION
A very clean example of an early Tulwar, with a hilt type becoming difficult to obtain on the market place. The blade is of wootz, and very good quality.
